Almost done with the couch!

 Things are getting almost done now . . . I taped down the wiring on the roof for the solar panels (that didn't work that well) - then covered the tape with caulk . . . hopefully that will work well enough.

Julie has been working on cushions - started with a 6" memory foam mattress and some upholstery material, and cushions are starting to take shape!  The photo below is with the couch in "couch mode".  The pillows are courtesy of Audrey . . .

Still more to go, but at least now we have something to sit on!  And the below photo is with the couch in "slouch mode" . . . Second cushion is done and in place . . . . All you get to see of Alan is his feet . . 

We also added some lighting above the cabinets and in the shelves next to the couch . . . the colors didn't come out great in this photo - but the color of the lights is adjustable - and works well enough in person to provide a nice glow.

We spent quite a bit of time hanging out in there last night.  Everything is starting to look really nice! 

And just for fun - I will leave you with a bad photo (taken through the screen) of a flock of turkeys wandering across our driveway . . .
