Normal Illinois - Kim and Greg's house

We had a very nice visit with Kim and Greg. Kim was Julie's locker partner when Julie's family first moved to Naperville when she was entering 7th grade.  Kim and Julie became best friends and have kept in touch over the years. This is the first time they have gotten together in person in about 15 years or so.

We just fit into their driveway (clearance is clearance) - and found it really nice to be able to just return to our own bed at night - and use our own shower in the morning!

Greg has become an avid bike person (yes - he has a 10lb bike and wears fancy tights).  Because Rick has a 70lb bike and batteries he was happy to take a ride with him along one of his regular routes.  It was a very nice ride - although Greg goes over 20 MPH whenever the ground is level or down hill - Ricks electric cuts out at 20MPH so those sections were a bit rough for him but he always caught up when they went back up hill!

28.5 mile loop/out and back - through some corn fields as well as a wooded section with a big lake as well as some creeks.

From there we headed out to Pere Marquette State park near St. Louis.
