Whycocomagh Provincial Park, Nova Scotia
July 7, 2024
We were graced with another beautiful travel day for our move to the northeastern portion of Nova Scotia known as Cape Breton Island. We're not complaining about the nice weather, but it sometimes seems that we are more likely to have nice weather on travel days than on the staying-put days.

Whycocomagh Provincial Park is situated in a sparsely populated area, and the campground was never full during our stay. We had a very pleasant and quiet hillside campsite overlooking Whycocomagh Bay.

No neighbors for most of our stay

Wednesday was a gorgeous day, so we headed off to the coastal town of Judique for lunch at the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre and some live Celtic music. Afterward, we rode a portion of the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail.

This young lady was a quite talented fiddler

We were surprised that they allow ATVs on the trails in Nova Scotia

Take a look around

We spent most of the rest of the time relaxing close to home, as Rick's back was bothering him and we thought it would be good to rest up a bit before our next location.
